Add image in each letter

Previously you had learned to add photographic texture to the text. In that, you had placed a single image inside the whole text but in today’s tutorial, you will learn to add a separate image in each letter.
Adding an effect to the text gives a new look to the artwork by making it more attractive and unique.
You must be eager to learn this new effect so let’s get started with the tutorial.
add an image in each letter
Step 1

With the help of Type Tool type your text. Use a separate type box for each word. As you can see in the below image I have typed the word, Michael Jackson.
Firstly, I have selected Type Tool and typed Michael and then I clicked below the word to use a separate type box for another word, i.e., Jackson.
Remember to select a good font type for your text so that the image is properly visible.

In the next step select the word and with right-click, the options window will pop up. Select Create Outlines. You will notice the outlines for each letter. We have done this so that we can Ungroup the letters. In the below image you can see that I have selected the word, Michael, to create outlines and the same I have done with the other word.

After creating outlines on each letter click on Ungroup. There are two ways to do this. Either you select the word and right-click on your mouse and select Ungroup from the options window or you can simply click on the Ungroup Button which is in the Properties Panel. The Ungroup Button is shown in the below image.

When such dotted corners appear hit SHIFT + CTRL + P to place/insert the image inside the letter or you can click on File in the Menu Bar and then click on Place to browse the image to be added to the letter.
