There are several types of Graph Tool in Adobe Illustrator. In today’s tutorial, we will explore one of the Graph Tool; i.e.; Line Graph Tool.

In this tutorial you will learn to create Line Graph in Adobe Illustrator.

Launch Adobe Illustrator and create a new document. Now follow the below steps:

Step 1

Right click on Column Graph Tool in the Tool Bar and select Line Graph Tool.

Step 2

After selecting the Line Graph Tool, click, hold and drag the cursor on the artboard forming a square or rectangle shape. (See the image below)

When you will release the left click on the mouse, the graph axis and graph data panel will appear on the artboard.

Step 3

In the Graph Data Panel, you can either import the data or manually enter the data.
I have manually entered the data (as an example) and clicked on Apply. You can see the result in the below image.

In the Graph Data Panel, you can see that I have entered years in the first row but they have been taken as data. Now to make the years as label, we have to add double quotes at the beginning and end. (See the below image)
