These texture brushes are not available in the preset Brush Libraries Menu. So, in today’s tutorial, you will learn to create Custom Grain-Noise Texture Brushes in Adobe Illustrator.

Custom-Grain-Noise-Texture-Brushes

Launch Adobe Illustrator and create a new document. It’s easy to draw step by step if we follow the below steps

Step 1

Select the Ellipse Tool and draw a circle of size 5 pt X 5 pt.

Step 2

Now press F5 to open the Brushes Panel. Then select the circle and click on the New Brush icon in the Brushes Panel.

When you click on the New Brush icon, a dialogue box will appear on the artboard showing list of different types of brushes. From that list, you have to select Scatter Brush and then click OK.

Step 3

After that, the Scatter Brush Options dialogue box will appear on the artboard. In that dialogue box, first, give a name to your custom brush and then make changes in the other options. (See the image below)

Step 4

Now select the Brush Tool from the Tool Panel and then select the custom brush, created in the above step, from the Brush Panel. Click and drag the brush on the artboard, and you will see the Grain/Noise Texture on the artboard.
